La Camera is an Italian restaurant located in the Southgate Building, situated in Melbourne’s Southbank. The venue boasts two balconies with stunning views over The Yarra River and iconic Flinders Street Station. The large balcony has seating for 60 people and the smaller one seats around 20 people.
In the past when the temperatures reached 30+ degrees the heat was unbearable. Diners were reluctant to sit outside and preferred to have their meals inside under the Air Con. This meant they missed out on the beautiful view the balconies had to offer. With that in mind, the La Camera family decided to have the Ozmist Static High Pressure Misting System installed in both balconies: the restaurant and bar. This system can be installed along fascias, under verandah over hangs, under shade umbrellas or structures and besides cooling down the area outside, it also keeps flying insects away. Plus the misting lines are installed at a minimum height of 2.7 meters from the floor to ensure that surfaces and people don’t feel any moisture, only a cool refreshing change.
Joe Cannatelli from the La Camera family has seen a lot of positive changes since installing the system "Ozmist misting system had a great impact on our business. We've been using it a lot lately because it's been really hot."

The balconies now provide an alfresco ambiance that adapts to all seasons Melbourne has to offer and lets clients enjoy the skyline of this beautiful city. "Customers are happy to have their meals on the balcony when the system is on. For us, it means customer satisfaction. Their feedback has been fantastic!", adds Joe.
La Camera provides their customers with not only great Italian dishes at affordable prices but also a welcoming and comfortable environment where the clientele is free to choose whether they want to sit indoors or outdoors, regardless of the weather. According to Joe, the staff also benefits from the misting system: "They are enjoying as well because it helps them to cool down specially when it's too busy. Everyone loves it! We would definitely recommend it!"
